St Martin’s Place, from the steps of St Martin’s church. Spent too long looking for a place out of the sun, and had to hurry the painting stage: which is why it’s in black and white.

Back in the main gardens, there’s the peony border. The peonies have been and gone, but there’s another bench in the shade.

Five minutes

Five minute drawings. Some ink, some ink with ink washes. Actually, the ones with ink washes took about eight minutes. Each about 21 x 14cm.
